Bartenders' Shakedown Flair Contest

Robbie Flair (whose real name is Rob Turek) is a 20 year veteran of the bar industry. Having worked from corporate restaurants to high volume nightclubs, Robbie has earned a reputation as one of a number of premier, well rounded professionals of the industry. During a 7 year span from 1998 to to 2005, Robbie was an active competitor in World Flair Bartending competitions, placing as high as 11th in the World. After his competition run, Robbie served as a judge for the prestigious Legends of Bartending World Championships in Las Vegas. His background in Flair would lead to the creation of his brand, which could be seen through local and national media including reality outlets such as the Food Network, A&E, and Reelz Channel, as well as prime time shows such as America's Got Talent and The Dr. Oz Show. Robbie is also a founding member of the National USBG Flair Committee, an initiative to help bartenders develop a more stylish delivery of service with a laser focus on hospitality.

In addition to being a prominent entertainment bartender and one of the country's top experts in Fire Flair, Robbie also has an extensive background in cocktail crafting and mixology. With a background as an eight year instructor for the Professional Bartending Schools of America, Robbie was awarded the Instructor of the Year Award for the national chain in 1997. More recently, Robbie has competed in numerous national and global cocktail competitions, placing among the higher echelon of mixologists, nationwide. Having served for two and half years as the Cleveland, Ohio USBG chapter President, Robbie has been able to share his knowledge and resources with bartenders abroad in the effort to help bartenders become the best they can be professionally.

Lastly, but most importantly, Robbie is the single father of a neurologically handicapped child. His son, Dakota, who is now 15 years old, means the world to him, as everything he strives for is led by the motivation to improve his son's quality of life. It is the leveraging quality of time through this Industry that has enabled Robbie to dedicate his time to helping his son on the path to recovery. And it has heightened humility in Robbie, a quality that is essential in become a successful professional bartender.
